There's an almost invisible yellow loading bar on the update screen.

Yes, I noticed that eventually. But come on! I could barely read it even after I noticed it.
Who is responsible for that? There was plenty of room on the screen to make it much thicker.

It is. google Android is an open source. BlackBerry edited/modified this particular one.
This is not 100% stock android.
