Online I found used unlock Priv for 299, used AT&T Priv for 239 and a new AT&T Priv 299.

So my question is is it still worth getting the Priv? If so, which of these 3 options is best?

Obviously new is best but I'm worried AT&T won't get updates as promptly as unlocked. And I am an AT&T customer btw.

    Thoughts?

Factory unlocked. As long as I'm with BlackBerry I don't think I'll ever get another carrier branded phone...carrier locked or carrier unlocked.

I should also point out. As much as I want to support BlackBerry my alternative phone choice is OnePlus 3.

Will a factory unlocked Priv receive updates only over wi-Fi or will it need a SIM card?

It will get updates irrespective of whether it has a SIM in it or not.

If it's Factory unlocked it will receive the update via Wifi or Sim. Network unlocked means it will only download with the appropriate Sim card. Example: Att branded network unlocked phones will only receive the OTA via an active AT&T Sim card

I want updates when they are available, not when the carrier decides to release them.
