I went to India for a month and took my Priv stv100-1. It worked everywhere I went and the camera was excellent it took great pictures. People were following me on BBM. I went to the Himalayas, to the Kulu Valley and Nagar Castle. I was using the PRIV for all my pictures and forgot the camera, when I went to the Himalayas, but the PRIV came through. There is no LTE in India just 4g but mostly 3g but it was fast enough. I only had cell internet. I was using my mobile hot spot on the PRIV for my tablet. The only complaint I have but I can live with, it is, the PRIV camera does not take a wide enough angle and the BBM only holds 80 pictures then it starts deleting the first ones. Next trip is Brazil. So far, so good for the PRIV.

Time to invest in a micro SD card to hold all your photos, I think. Then you can have as many as you want for BBM.

It has nothing to do the micro sd, I have one. I'm talking about in the BBM group where you share pictures the most you can share is 80. but thanks for the idea.

So, k-2, how was K2? Is that 80 a Priv or generic bbm limitation?

BBM group limitation.. I noticed that during a similar trip in Indonesia, at that time I was using a Passport.. Groups allows only for 80 pics and greatly reduces, through compression, the quality of each pic.. It is a pity because traveling is one of those occasions where you would use groups and typically you do not take only 80 pics...

4G is LTE everywhere except in the USA where the marketing definition of 4G was totally screwed up.

If I understand correctly LTE is transmitted through the old tv frequency and 4g is not that is why North America forced the tv channels to be transmitted in digital. The receptions is suppose to be better with LTE but feel free to correct me on this

Nothing to do with disused TV frequencies, which vary from country to country anyway.

The confusion Americans have is that your phone carriers started branding a 3G technology, HSPA+, as 4G before the 4G standards had been finalised and rubber stamped. When true 4G LTE networks starts to be rolled out in the US that left a confusing marketing problem, they had to specifically call them something other than just 4G.

Everywhere else in the world HSPA+ was never sold as a 4G technology, so 4G means LTE.
