Curious, why were you so happily bragging that it was patched, so free?
If like most apps you get a free trial, why the need to patch?

Where you get that I was happily bragging is beyond me me saying something don't mean I'm bragging or whatever. What I do is my choice. Either way I still buy the app, you have to if you want to be able to sign in and plus it's the right thing to do.

sorry if I m posting it in the wrong forum but accept it under "discoveries" .

though it is easier to swipe down from top of the phone screen on lock screen and get short cuts option.. but I personally feel it's a security glitch wherein the person in possession of the phone can directly turn of cellular data after stealing the phone plus change the phone profile to do not disturb or airplane mode even if ya phone is on picture password or any lock screen options.

it was never a case in os10 but a security update needs to patch it.

Those are just text replacements anybody can program. Nice of BlackBerry to have pre-programed them for us, though.

I use them alot, BlackBerry has had those out for many years. They definitely come in handy

Here is a tip to have your message scroll across your lock screen.
"Go to Settings"
"Select Security"
"Select Lock Screen Message"
Type your message,
Exit Settings

The next time your phone is showing your lock screen you'll see your message scrolling across the screen from right to left.

Is there a list about all the things which are recommended in order to provide the most fluent experience?

I mean performance wise, workflow and recommended apps interest me later.

A lot of reviews mention that the Priv is super slow and I guess here in Austria it gets tricky to get the RAM upgrade.

im trying to get tmobile to unlock my priv, so i can move to a diff network. but they had to email blackberry to get the code, and its been a week now. i was able to unlock others from my family plan. What is taking so long? Has BB completely stop supporting Priv? I thought tmobile has copies of unlock codes.

I used search but did not get anything on how to rename a file!!!! This is blowing me away.
To be more precise, rename a picture i just took.

Not possible from oogle photos, not possible from storage - explore.

Well, i hate adds(i assume your sugestion has adds as 99% of android apps have) and i hate adds

I also hate having to pay to get rid of the adds for something as trivial as renaming a file.

It is absurd to have to install an app for such a trivial operation.

I like to have as clean Os as possible an when we are talking about android...clean is not that clean.. Although priv has it pretty clean.

So thank you for the suggestion, i will look into it but it is not normal in my opinion.

I haven't had any ads pop up with ES File Explorer and it's been my go-to file manager for years.

The Priv doesn't have its own, but the KEY devices do have a stock file manager which is very basic but works well.

Wait, did you download exactly the one I sent you in the link?
I sent you that link because it doesn't appear in the Play Store anymore.

If you go into any file manager app and want to install an apk, of course you're gonna need to grant it the permission to do so!

You are right, i did not click the link.
It shows as "untrusted source" , because why not?...

For now i will try to live with it/come up with a different solution.

All Android devices will show "untrusted source" whenever you download an app from anywhere else than the play store.

You can go into Settings -> Security and enable "install apps from untrusted sources" temporarily just to install ES file explorer and then disable it again if you want.
