Interesting that the "Who is not getting the PRIV has more comment then any?

Statistical accuracy aside, I'm not shocked that there is some discontent on a website where you would find the majority of BB10 loyalists.

"Is there any possibility of a bb10 version?"

Mr. Chen said something about how it's a business decision to determine whether or not they'll make another BB10 phone. As some have already stated, it's unlikely that we'll see a BB10 Slider, but certainly not impossible!

Don't shoot me, but I have a contact that claims there will be a bb10 version. When asked a direct question about a bb10 priv I was told yes and there will be more to come. No I won't reveal the source. But he seems very much in the know.

I TOLD CrackBerry to create a subforum under the Priv forum for "BB10 Slider posts", but would they listen? NO! Well, sometimes they listen, but really, concentrating all the chatter about wanting a BB10 version of the Slider into a subforum would a) make it easier to find existing topics on the subject of BB10 on the Slider and b) highlight actually how many people really love BB10 and won't be switching to Android (indicating a business opportunity for BlackBerry, however insignificant it may be).

Inasmuch as I'd love to stick with Blackberry it looks like our relationship will be coming to an end. I had high hopes for Priv but not having the Z10 keyboard is a real deal killer. I LOVE that one feature above all others and cringe when I think about having to type every word or looking at suggested words instead of flicking the word that my Z10 knows I'll use. If the QUERTY keyboard is all the Priv offers I might as well get a Nexus 5x or 6p.

Looks like the BB virtual keyboard that will be included as well. Take a look here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...berry.keyboard

No bb10 version of Priv. They made it clear, the drivers for the chips will cost a lot of money for the volume they might potentially sell. Its time to accept the truth. Writing is literally on the wall. How much more blatant does it have to be?

There can't be a BB10 Priv without a SDK update, as BlackBerry Said there are no SDK update planned.

No new SDK= no new resolution support = no way to add new API's to recognise the form factor, slide state ect ect

I wonder how long the OHA would stand up before antitrust regulators would smack it down. I think somewhere in Europe it is currently under scrutiny.
I'm not sure why it is unfair though. From Google's standpoint, if you voluntarily request their services and apps to promote your device(s), then you have to agree not to work against them at the same time with other devices.

    Seems like an equitable arrangement.

Seems worthy of a Competition Law investigation under European Law.

European Competition Law investigations and judgements do take ages (I mean, years and years and years) but they have been effective in the past in reducing/preventing the abuse of firms' dominant market positions, eg the blocking of competitors out of the market through anti-competitive practices.

Some examples, that some people may (or may not!) find of interest:
