Yeah pretty sure they are right , all the Blackberrys that come from shopblackberry ship from the same warehouse, there wouldn't be two versions one with and without... logically that inst right and a waste of inventory/space

Someone should test. Then I'll buy a qi charger if it works.

Well i have a QI charger and preordered mine, highly doubt it won't have wireless charging.

If Telus is getting a different model, maybe we may luck out and it will have wireless charging.

3 years ? There are no more 3 year plans. They're all 2 year plans now.

Wow the Telus prices have really gone up. $20/month more than I currently pay for less data.

I phoned Telus, and they confirmed that can renew my current plan, and get a discounted Priv, or I can go month-to-month, and get a (measly) 10% discount for BYOD.

FWIW, I just spoke with Telus, and the rep confirmed with tech support that they will be carrying the STV100-6. They could not say pricing, and she did not know about wireless charging.

Yeah that though crossed my mind. But earlier in the conversation, she said she was reaching out to tech support, she then comes back and asks if I have time to wait longer, as she has to go to a higher level of tech support. She then comes back and says the 'alternate name' in their system is the STV100-6, and so she assumes this is the model number I am asking about.

I would say this conversion, coupled with your logic confirms it for me.

See the stickies at the top of this forum: http://forums.crackberry.com/blackbe...ncies-1043968/

However it is does not have info on the STV100-6 yet.

That's because that model hasn't passed through the authorities yet. Nothing at FCC nor IC.

I wonder if that could hold up the carrier launch.

Well thing is, if it's not a US model, it could just be IC's system and BlackBerry requesting a longer confidentiality period. Their search on it is terrible, so it could just be not updated. The approvals are usually submitted months in advance.

Not too bad, I actually might do this if they have them in store today. Just wish it had the wireless charging.

In terms of outright... 890... save 9$ and not get wireless charging, no deal

where are you seeing that? All I see is $410 on the website, which I scoffed at. I said I wouldn't pay much over $300, so if I can get it for $310 I'm sold. $410, not so much.

Granted, I won't be getting one until late December at any rate. Any chance they'll drop the price for holiday promotion?

They are having a promo (see attached)

I'm still hoping for a promo as well but my Visa has payment protection so should be able to match it. Worth looking into if that's how you're paying.

I just phoned their customer service and said it is $90 cheaper elsewhere. He put $100 credit on my account and said go buy it.Interesting, as only loyal customers can get it from Telus unless they want to spend $100 more. Wonder if that was intentional. I would imagine they will drop the price to match everyone else within a month or close to it.

i still think those prices are high, $ 410 for a 2 year contract? that's a lot...for that price through my employer i can get an Iphone 6 with 128GB or the Samsung S6 with 128GB...the price needs to come down or BB is going to miss out on many customers

Did you have a lot of trouble getting the $100 off. I have to pick up mine from my local Telus dealer later today but am not too happy about the $890.

There is no $310 option, an if you mean by trading in my existing phone I could do that with ANY phone picking up from telus
