Missing band 1, which when roaming in Japan would be tricky. However raino seems to think this is the Sprint model, which I have no idea why Telus would do this. Even more interesting if it has CDMA radios....

I would go -3. So far all evidence says -3 is the superset model with the exception of CDMA.

The Telus version looks to be STV100-3. However, this is just based on the closest match. Overall, the specs on the Telus site have issues. They list the processor as a 1.8GHz quad-core. It's technically a hexa-core, though it has a 2/4 core distribution.

Oh I'm certain they are in labs or something somewhere.

STV100-6 was the model Android Authority reported on in their "eyes-on". And for some reason I keep thinking Baka's unit is the same one.

Depends on if you travel with your phone and like to use local networks. If you do, then the more bands you have the better. More bands equals more compatibility with various carriers around the world.

Think channel numbers. Carrier A, B builds their network to use channel 1, carrier C uses channel 2, and so on. If your phone only supports channel 1, you can't use it on carrier C.

Generally the bands are distributed geographically.

i don't travel a lot really...and by the time i am ready to switch carriers (if i buy the Priv), i'll probably be thinking of a new phone anyway in 3 years...i am a keeper

Well if you're not leaving Canada you're fine. Just unlock it, both models listed on Telus and ShopBB will work with all carriers, so you can switch for cheaper plans when they pop up.

I contacted shop blackberry and they said the Canadian model does have wireless charging. They recommended a Samsung charger as blackberry wasn't making an oem one.
