I have tweeted at T-Mobile and Blackberry both to confirm if the Priv will be VoLTE certified for use on Band 12 but haven't received any reply.
Please update us if they reply. I am on T-Mobile and will not purchase the Priv until it is confirmed that it is compatible with their network.

Will do. However, it's definitely confirmed compatible as there is no VoLTE controversy with Band 4 or any of the AWS/UMTS bands so it'll work fine on Tmo. Band 12 is 700Mhz (extended LTE which penetrates buildings better) and is still not rolled out across the entirety of their network footprint so I wouldn't count on them going 'Band 12 only' for LTE for quite some time. There will still be many AWS and Band 4 areas for years to come.

If you travel frequently, knowing that Band 12 is supported would be more of a concern but if you are just wanting a good LTE connection in your home or office and are on the fence about the Priv, just order the new, free ($25 deposit/each) LTE CellSpots from Tmo and feel confident in ordering an unlocked Priv.

T-Mobile didn't/doesn't ask OEMs to disable Band 12 just to be jerks about it, they want their customers to have E911 and you can't very well call 911 when connected to Band 12 if the device doesn't support VoLTE (data only). Tmo's official statements concerning Band 12 support on the Moto E (and any other phone that physically supports it):

€œThe Moto E does not support VoLTE and E911, though as soon as it does, we hope to be able to activate Band 12 on the Moto E again,€ Nguyen said. €œWe€™re very transparent with our partners that Band 12 certification must also come with support for VoLTE and E911.€
Here's my issue with this: they are putting the needs of the few (who don't have any coverage but band 12) over the needs of the many (who have AWS/PCS coverage/don't care for voLTE on band 12/just need the network for data.) Why don't they build AWS/PCS towers, or work out roaming agreements with other carriers for calls? If it's really 911 calls they're worried about, phones can drop down to 2G/3G for those calls, and any carrier--whether it has a roaming agreement with TMO or not--has to, by law, take that call on its network.

On top of it, the band 12 certification is said to be expensive, so IMO, it amounts to a shakedown. "We won't carry your phone, and if you don't want to sell it crippled, pay us for certification." Why would OEMs choose to do this for an unlocked phone, especially if they don't expect to see a lot of TMO customers buying said phone? BTW, all legit phones sold in the US are E911 compliant, because by law they have to be. The band 12 thing is purely a TMO requirement. No different than why non-CDMA (or more specifically, "Verizon certified" ) phones don't work on Verizon.

Okay ladies and gents, the mattered is settled. Tmo not stocking the Priv (at least for now) but *will* support the unlocked version *including* Band 12:

spoke to cs rep earlier about the band 12 issue, all she said there was no word of tmo carrying the iPhone 6 until the it was released. So she thinking the same with the priv.

Didn't Legere rule out the Lumia 950s right away? Neither he nor the COO have done that this time.

I bought an unlocked Passport model which works perfectly fine on T-Mo, so as long as Blackberry creates a Priv which works up to speed on T-Mo like my Passport, then that works for me. I've been on T-Mo for many years using all my BB's. It really isn't an issue, unless you've ruined your personal credit to the point that you can't even swing a $700 loan, then that's on you! At least I don't have T-Mo bloatware to remove!
