It will use the carrier logo of the simcard you put in. So if you'd put a Vodafone card in your phone right now, it'd show the Vodafone logo.

It matters because that's what is supposed to happen.

If you take out the simcard and put in an AT&T simcard, it will show AT&T logo.
If you start the phone without a simcard in it, it should show the BlackBerry logo or no logo at all.

    It's no issue at all.

Yeah, same situation with me. No worries, my Z10 did the same. Both came directly from BlackBerry.

If I recall, I might have even gotten a Verizon logo on my ShopBB when booting when I tested my Verizon sim in it. Oh, and it did not work with the Verizon sim.

I believe BlackBerry has about 99 carrier logos/wallpapers embedded in their OS. Darcy Tallguy extracted them when 10.3 came out.

Can you get a phone to boot up without the carrier logos? If you remove the logos will the phone then lock up once you install the sim?

If the carrier simcard is in the device, you cannot stop the logo from showing.
And I don't think you can remove the logos from the OS.

Kind of what I was thinking.
