Apologies for the stupidity. But does the autoloader wipe the phone and reinstall the os? Basically, is this like doing a fresh install? And, do I download the zip file and plug my phone in to laptop and let it work? Thanks for any guidance.

The autoloader WILL wipe everything on your phone. So you best back everything up before you do it

Question... as it does not state in the instructions.... How do I backup my phone before i run the autoloader? Or is it hard to backup? Should I just wing it and run the autoloader... i know ill get my contacts and that stuff back when I add my email back, and re-installing apps is not a big deal.

If you're using a Google account, your backup exists in the cloud. It will restore when you turn on your device again.

That's why I've always been saying that "beta" isn't really a Beta but a soak test.

It looks that way for AT&T anyways.

Nope, pretty much all the betas except for the very first one, almost all of them graduated to become gold.

Going into settings and deleting cache for the app and it should fix it. This is also the same for other apps that get hung up when OS updates.

There is one, it's a sticky right up front on this forum complete with links on how to and discussion.
Perhaps the link should be here, since nobody bothers to look at where the important stuff is.

The AT&T autoloader IS the correct one for all AT&T-branded devices regadless of the carrier they are on now. You can either find an active AT&T SIM card and update OTA, or use the autoloader.

If you do it correctly, it will work fine.

Thank you sir. I don't think it's possible to get a working at&t sim here in India, so I would go for the autoloader. I've been waiting desperately for a cure to the update fiasco of the at&t priv. Can you please provide me a link that shows me how to do it. I'm so sorry if I sound silly but ive never updated through the autoloader. Thank you again.
