    Hello,
today my Phone got a popup, that there is a systemupdate available for android priv (size: 1805,3 MB). It says i need to Backup. What should i do? I don't want to keep all settings exactly like i have them.

That should be the June 2016 Marshmallow release (AAF057). Going to that from the May 2016 release (AAE723) had no issues over here.

Google backups are automatic and in the cloud (your Google account).

You should be fine with just installing the update.

I don't back up first, and I think most of us don't. It usually works fine. But, something could go wrong, you could be the one out of 5,000 that looses everything.
    Your call to make.

Based on the size, this looks to be going from Lollipop to Marshmallow.

    What carrier is this?

The update can take a lot of time, including quite a long time where it doesn't seem to be doing anything. I would only do it when you won't need your phone for a good amount of time, plugged into power.

There are more updates after the first one...

This is the June patch + some OS fixes. It's 1.8GB because BlackBerry, in their infinite wisdom, decided to distribute it as a full OS rather than an incremental upgrade. Still, it'll install over top of your current setup, without wiping anything.

This has some OS fixes and the June security update, not sure why they chose to do it as an entire OS 'reload', but I assume they had reasons.

Edit- thurask's post wasn't there when I started typing
