Maybe someone can shed some light on this. In all of my photo folders I have suddenly developed Phantom copies of all of my photos. Two of everything except one of each picture will not open. It says file cannot be opened. I found a photo gallery app called Quicpic that doesn't show the phantom files and the file managers don't show the Phantom files either. But most photo editors and other gallery apps show these Phantom files. It's only in the photos not in the videos or anything else any ideas would be welcomed. thanks

Ok, i manged to solve the problem on my own: I just cleared the data of the media storage service. (Note that afterwards ringtone settings and music playlists (but not the music files themselves) are also gone.)
