So I go to my carrier's shop occasionally, mostly for complaints obviously but sometimes just to check out new phone models.
Usually they stay very clear of me because they know I have a BlackBerry Passport and they would rather not talk about that. They don't know anything about the devices, and they'd rather I chose a different brand.

That being said, today, out of the blue, they were suddenly all over me with questions. "That new BlackBerry Slider, have you seen it yet?! Wow I can finally use a keyboard again? Wow it's both full touch and Qwerty?! Oh it runs Android but with secured apps, great!"
Of course I could hardly answer any of it because I also only know what has been written, but they were so excited I could hardly believe it. They actually had the press release on their monitors so they could show it off.

There might be something good brewing here for BlackBerry. Even if it is sad news for BB10 enthusiasts (succesful android won't necessarily translate to beter BB10 development). And of course the name was something they didn't feel good about. Privilege is not a word we use here, and Priv� is what we use for Private so dropping just the � seemed weird to most.
They're just dubbing it the BlackBerry Android or the Slider as far as I could tell.

Good news for the most part, BlackBerry actually has a decent running start this time around!

I think a number of people with give BlackBerry another shot... Old BlackBerry fans, Carrier Salepeople, Tech Reveiwers.

It up to BlackBerry to succeed or fail.

I really think something �could� go on with this device.

I showed to a group of android friends of mine at work, the video of the hands on with the specs...and they were mindblowed, one of them said he misses the keyboards so much that he would not mind buying an android blackberry at all.


In another chat group, which my sister and a bunch of friends are, another thing happened: I posted the same video.... right away, my sister who is an iOS junkie ando despises blackberry , jumped and said �so what, no one cares about that phone...�..... but then, other adnroid guys in the chat were saying like �hey, that phone looks awesome tbh� and the other said �ill buy that phone, im real tired of touchscreens that do whatever they please.�


IMO the android move will be the boost blackberry needed to at least sell phones and make a profit.

Lets be honest, the priv indeed looks awesome. Maybe they will hit the jackpot with this one. Too many positive reviews from people who use to mock BlackBerry is not a coincidence

Haha, you mean you usually go there just to socialise? I'm sure they'd find it more creepy if I started doing that.
