Why don't you try Google Fit? It spends very little battery as far as I can tell. Haven't used any of the ones you listed so I can't say much.
Have you tried turning off some of the Permissions it requires, like ID, GPS in particular?

Here's what it says about Permissions:

This app has access to (typical Google):

    Identity
    find accounts on the device
    find accounts on the device

    Contacts

    find accounts on the device
    find accounts on the device
    read your contacts

    Location

    approximate location (network-based)
    precise location (GPS and network-based)

    Photos/Media/Files

read the contents of your USB storage
modify or delete the contents of your USB storage

    Storage

read the contents of your USB storage
modify or delete the contents of your USB storage

    Body sensors

body sensors (like heart rate monitors)

    Other

control media playback and metadata access
    read sync statistics

Google sure loves using their permissions

How do you mean ID? Contacts and Storage permissions are off, I'm not sure if it's that it never even asked me or I disallowed it. No problems with that. I like letting it use GPS to map my routes, but I will try disabling it next time I'll go somewhere.

Looks like I was able to disallow a number of Permissions. I will have to try it on a walk later and see.
