Is it normal that the sound is coming out of only the left side of speaker grill? Why have such a huge grill with sound only coming from left side?

Comparing it to the M9 or Z30 is a bad idea, those phones had the best speakers out there.

Compare it to the iToy or the 6S Edge.

Thankfully I should be rocking the flip case with mine which should hopefully limit dust intake tremendously. Never liked taking risks with going naked when it comes to expensive smartphones.

Well it's quieter than the "iToy" and also sounds worse. How's that?

I never would have thought that only a quarter of the grill is the actual speaker. Kinda dissapointing. Would have to test that one out in person to judge it

The M8's are dual stereo speakers and are awesome. This speaker is a single speaker and not awesome.

Yeah, but they're single speaker on each side. I should cover one up and compare it to the Priv. I was talking about the size of the pysical speaker not the amount of speakers in the phone.

The whole issue is it's a single speaker and not a dual speaker on each side. The Privs isn't close to the M8's in sound quality.

I was more or less refering to the person who said the speaker is only a 1/4 the width of the phone, and then posted a picture of the M9 that showed the same physical speaker size, two or not theyre both the same size on each end. I was not talking about quality or material or anything. Just size.

And the microphone on the side?

Plus if you watch videos full screen you will still turn the device and sound will only come from one side anyways lol

It's not as good as the iPhone or the Classic in my opinion. I've never used the G4. It's better than the Leap, which is terrible. It's not so much that it's super quiet but more that it sounds muffled to me. The volume is acceptable but it's not great sound and I expected way better.
