Woah ... who was holding the phone? By sharpening it, you really see how hairy this person is. haha. If that is JC, I'd be shocked. Asians aren't usually that hairy.

So how is copying another device being innovative? I like the fact that they are coming up with new devices but always being a stand alone to this?

Just a thought.... Could this be that bubble button tech we've seen. Basically creating a tool belt that can change functions and also inflate deflate from smooth touch to raised "feel" buttons?

It's probably just a screenshot of a UI because he's holding it with his thumb right on the screen so it would launch an app if it were a real UI. Also, why is he holding the phones like that? Nobody ever shows off a phone holding it like that. Did he even show the sliding mechanism? I'm guessing those phones are two pieces that he is holding together.

It seems to me that the most interesting thing about a slider is watching it being open and closed. If he walked on stage with both phones already open then the mechanism isn't working yet.

Too many moving parts on the slider. there should be a non slider version. All i wanted was a full touchscreen berry device with passport specs and improved camera.

I agree - probably a nice thing since the BB10 UI consistently uses both sides of the screen to show either (navigation) menu or context menu.
But that does really look like the very obvious option to use those edges. I expect more and I hope I'll not be disappointed.

If it's a fully functional OS then it's BlackBerry OS 10.3. No idea what people are seeing when they're suggesting it's something else

If you aren't on an icon nothing happens. Try putting a digit on the space between icons, all you can do is move screens.

Unlike the Note Edge, on the Galaxy S6 Edge, the dual curved screens aren't usable for anything.

So after months of keeping this phone a secret he's going to go on stage at MWC and show the device for the very first time - and carefully places his thumb in the very center of the screen but between icons - and does the same with both hands. The PR team nods in approval - that's the way to show this phone for the very first time. This will be the image of new Blackberry hardware for 2015. No close-up photos allowed.

I don't buy it. That would be like showing off your newborn baby with your thumb on top of its nose.
