Tap on your Priv with the screen locked in rapid succession and get back to me...

Yes the security CAN be bypassed this way with rapid tapping on the screen.

And yes I'm very angry too!

I have the pin type set and if I tap like 3 times in a rapid motion I get passed the security pass code. No joke!
I have tried all the settings and so far most of the time it works to a point if I lock the screen with a screen locker and even then I still can get around it by tapping fairly quickly and my Priv is unlocked.
I tried many apps even uninstalled the screen lock apps and I still get around it.
If I use my button on the side it turns off the screen but it sure don't look it.
I'm getting very nervous about this even though I really don't keep high priority stuff on this phone I trust my passport more than this one now....

I'll make a video for YouTube tomorrow if I can and post it. This is not funny at all, especially with the cost and or the name involved because I really trust these guys.

Lol you've installed a 3rd party screen locker app and you're angry blackberry?

Also putting the screen in sleep doesn't mean LOCKED. the taking the screen thing is called tap to wake.

Uninstall any third party screen locker you have then change your screen lock time to something very short or instant. Then try your "trick"

So you see the screen to enter the pin then tap few times to bypass it?
Do you have smart lock /phone paired with a smart watch for example?

Are you using a third party app or the built in security?
It will be really hard to imagine the Android built-in security can be bypassed by this.

I'll wait for your video. Waiting to be amused to be honest

Take a screenshot of your security settings. Is Power button instantly locks enabled?

Sorry I didn't count the taps correctly it's tap 4 times and she opens right on up.
I unchecked all the device administrators then checked just the one for the BlackBerry launcher and it I can still get around the pin I set up.

I'll see if my other phone can make this video and upload it.
All the device administrator settings were cleared out and the third party apps uninstalled and I can tap four times and open this phone even though it's set to lock instantly and yes I set the side button to do the same thing.
I have none of that face unlock or pattern unlock etc set up just a simple pin number.

I tracked it down because one of you guys mentioned sleep and I have a battery saver app called DS Battery Saver that kept it awake and I think that's why it wouldn't lock.
All my phone settings are the same didn't challenge a thing and now it seems tighter than Fort Knox can't open it with the simple tap four times now.
I'll test several more times to be sure.
