I finally figured out how to get FB messages in the hub. As you know, the hub only detects notifications from the normal FB app, including event invitations etc, but not messages.

My solution is mainly based on this link: Use facebook chat without installing Messenger

So, in short:
1. Make sure that in the FB app's "app settings" under "notifications" , notifications for messages are on.
2. Delete the FB Messenger app
3. Install the very first messenger version (v1.0) from the link above; you can ignore it afterwards (it's only 2 MB). Don't start the app.
4. In the Play Store, go to the FB Messenger app's page and tap on the three dots, then uncheck automatic updates. Make sure you don't actually update it later by accidentally tapping on update all apps in the Play Store.
5. That's it, you should now get your messages in the normal FB app and hence also in the Hub.

Only disadvantage: it only has the features of the web version, e.g. you can't use features such as calling people or inserting GIFs. Also, you will get a new notification for each message instead of conversation So obviously we should hope for a proper messenger hub integration in MM.

It should do it automatically once you install and log in to Facebook.

Another alternative is to install Facebook mod

huh.... maybe I need to update the os?

I just got my flashy new unlocked att priv, so gonna install the february update and hopefully mm here tomorrow.

In any case, installed fb, logged in etc and it ain't showing..

Yeah make sure you manually check for and update all the blackberry apps.

After you do it once manually, they'll update automatically.

But you're sure as hell not updating to MM anytime soon.
