That will depend on how the Hub will perform the task like in the BB10

If there is no differences...will better install the Hub apk in my next Android device: Oneplus Two.

I do not see any reason to buy a BlackBerry device if the Hub will be available to any android phone, do you?

A high end android with keyboard? I'll give it a try...
Only problem for me is the keyboard layout. Needs a refresh, it doesn't even have a number row!
The BlackBerry physical keyboard never had a numbers row. They were always laid out in the standard phone keypad fashion sharing keys with the left side of the qwerty keyboard.

totally on the fence, depends on several factors, one of if which is if the BB10 Slider has android runtime.

..... if not, well... it depends how much of a pull the Blackdroid Slider is. i may just opt for the Silver Passport.

If the slider comes with an Android OS then NO. I will keep my 9810 until it dies then buy a flip phone. Just the thought of Blackberry using Android makes me feel sick.

Want to say I would, but I'd probably just get a note 5 instead. I mean unless BlackBerry made it more powerful than the note 5. There's no reason to get any other android device that's not samsung.

    Posted via CB10
Yeah go and try a samsung. I happen to have the samsung S6 and it's the worst Android i 've used so far. Samsung has been dropping the ball latley. Beautiful device with unoptimized android.

My employer is retiring our BES server and only supporting iOS and Android devices via MDM moving forwars (not even allowing ActiveSync to BB10 devices) so you better believe that I'll be all over this Android BB slider once it's released!

I've been a BB die hard since 2006 and the very thought of using an Apple or Samsung handset was making me sick to my stomach. Not to mention the amount of crow eating I'd have to do with colleagues who constantly razz me for being a dinosaur for still using a BB.

Yes, a BB phone running with Lollipop is considered an Android device. But you kmow what? As long as that sweet flying Bs BB logo is on the back of the handset and the word BlackBerry is proudly emblazened on the front of the phone, then I'm good. I'll still be rocking a BlackBerry handset and also get the benefits of GPS. As long as they keep the Hub, keep the awesome flick and go BB10 virtual keyboard plus maintain the high quality standards of the physical keyboards that we've all grown to love, then i happily welcome this Android'ed Venice Frankenstein creature into my fleet of BlackBerrys!

and if they are going to release it as a launcher anyway, there will be no advantage to it, I'll just throw it in any device I want.
great point. lots of people will probably get their hands on that rom. hack city.

It all depends. I would love more than anything else phone wise to return to bb10. That said, I just don't know Chen's plans with bb10. If he plans to drop development and support, which I fear he will, then I will be getting the android slider for sure. If however, he is firmly committed to the idea of bb10 and development of all apps and the os, then ill get the bb10 version or some iteration of the passport or classic.

I'm coming back to bb, Chen just needs to tell me how.

    Not until it's $200.
i can see the price swap happening sooner than later. and not because it's "selling well". and even at that price the android wouldn't be worth it to me. no psuedo-BlackBerry experience for me... give me the real thing or nothing at all.

talk about a phone with an identity crisis and it's not even released yet.

No more time wasted in crackberry trying to find workarounds to get basic essential apps (like banking apps) - that weren't productive at all!
exactly now you go to Android central for your problems.

If its priced like the Passport then I'll get one. If they try to market it in the S6/Iphone range then I'll wait till the price comes down and it gets upgraded to Android M.
The One Plus 2 is $329 and has great reviews and so is the Xiaomi Mi5 at $399

Not me. If I would want an Android, I'd go for a Nexus or something similar... I'm sticking with Blackberry because of BB10 - I'm faster, secure and definitely more productive with it than with Android. Plus, I've never been a fan of the Torch (the keyboard wasn't as good as Bold or Curve), and this one looks huge and cumbersome.

I'm in. But I would prefer to have a Q10 running Android. I like the form factor and weight of the Q10.

A killer for the slider would be if it is 180g or more. Who wants a brick in the suit?
