There will be no BlackBerry anymore. To the world there's only iPhone, Android, Windows.
Why swim in the red waters filled with competition when you can swim in the blue waters?
I am not interested in another Android, there's plenty out there, they all are the same. No BlackBerry experience can make a droid become a BlackBerry .

The blue water is a pond - too small!!!

It won't matter, because we can have bboth.

BB10 -- Finger flickin' good... in any form factor!
If there is a Verizon version, I'm all in! In more ways than one this reminds me of a certain ordeal where a certain company ignored the market and what it wanted. After convincing itself that "glass" was a fad it proceeded to spiral out of control and is still spiraling. No one will develop for BB10 so in all honesty what choice is there for BlackBerry loyalist who want to continue to support BlackBerry?

Well, well, well. There still might something left for BlackBerry to save me.
If it was running BB10 i would, if its running android i doubt it. I have a Z10 for my personal phone and Galaxy S5 for work and i cant stand the S5.
Yes, if it don't cost 800-900$..

Now Chen will sell two Sliders to the devoted fan(droid)BBase... 2x the turnover, this guy is zmart!
A Zlider and a Chendroid, haha! :-D

Passport>Slider
I wonder if we can flash the bb10 rom on the Android slider. I don't mind getting the android version and I'm super excited about it but if I feel that bb10 is better I wouldn't want to buy the same phone with diff os again...

The Target Lady at the checkout counter will flash whatever OS you want on your new slider and you'll be good to go.
Not me. I am with BlackBerry because of BB10.
Posted via CB10
I would buy one . . . I would also like to retro-fit Android OS on my collection of BlackBerry 10 devices - Z10 through Leap.
Posted via CB10
Probably will IF it has a BlackBerry HUB added in. If it's just stock Android probably not.

I am not a fan of the Android OS. I have tried it and tried it, but just cannot like it. I am sticking with BB10 if they make it available for the Slider.
Assuming it has "hub" app and "touch-sensitive 4-row pkb", I'll be buying it.
Will I buy it at launch? Depends on what color they release at launch. I'd like to buy it in white. If they only release black, I'll probably wait a bit for other colors.
Nope. Curved screen is a gimmick, do not want.
I'll wait for a non-curved android blackberry

I will.
BlackBerry meets my needs and I have no desire to have an Android OS. Especially after helping friends with OS issues on their Android Phones. That OS is a mess.
Wow were being forced android via BlackBerry. What a shame.

I been debating it for a while. Preferably I would if it came with Hub and a BB 10 container for the few apps I love from BBW.
As I stand right now, I'm leaning towards getting it but would like to see the reviews and price. North of $600 for an off contact device would be a deal breaker
I would probably alternate between DroidBerry and Z30 for a while before committing to one outright

Depends on a lot of things. Will this be a full feature device that "gets everything right" out of the box? No camera issues, no updates needed, just ready to go and compete with the best out of the box? I probably won't be getting it at launch. But sliders have always been my favorite type of phone design. Always wanted a blackberry slider but was hesitant with the one released on older hardware. I also am a QWERTY person and the on board key board was always off-putting. So hopefully then swing and knock one out of the park with this phone.

I will need to feel it in my hands to see if the sliding aspect of the pkb will be used by myself. If the unit is lightning fast, I may use it in all touch mode if the vkb is similar to the one on my Z30. Frankly, love BB10, just looking for Google Play Store functionality.
