It seems no more or less legit than any other "Leak" we have seen. We have no proof of anything that blackberry is ACTUALLY planning. This would be the best case scenario though.

It's fake. That's not how an Android container looks.

However, if someone shows me BlackBerry 10 apps launching from the Google Launcher, I'm sold.

Why does it get it's own much larger space compared to the rest of the items in that drop-down list?

    That alone fuels my suspicions.

So I threw this image in Photoshop, blew it up 300% - and there are artifacts around the logo and "Switch to Android" - not seen anywhere in the image. 100% fake.

    Seriously...what kind of worries
As long as it's not official we shouldn't be pissed about it @ BlackBerry...

Okay, I did have to save the image from the original post and check in Photoshop. There's not much in the way of artifacts around the android logo from that originally posted image without the big added red circle. Boosting the mid-tones, I can see the dark gray background bar extending across the entire bottom row. At first, it looked like the "switch to android" spot was no wider than the left column. But, extending all the way across does make it look a lot like your example of the work space switch.

Keep in mind someone could have also photoshopped a photo with the swipe down settings. Loaded it on the Passport and what you're seeing is a picture of the passport with the pictures app open showing a photoshopped picture.

Not saying it's not real, just saying it can be fake.

Honestly the same. You don't know anything else other than a video of a passport running android. It might be fake, might be some custom hack job, might be real leak from BB. The only truth is that YOU DONT KNOW

It's photoshopped nonsense. End of story move along.
I just ran the image through several filters, this image has not been photoshopped.

Now if the image in the phone is fake, that's a possibility. But not this image of the overall Passport.

I hope no one would be dumb enough to go through the much tougher task of photoshopping an image of the screen (having to imitate the glare, smudges, angles, scales, etc). Much easier to photoshop (or use paint even) a screen cap of the drop down menu, display it on the Passport and take a 'real' pic of it.

Yup, that was my thought too - it's just like the switch to the work space. It would be cool if that's how it's done, although once in Android, how could you switch back as I'm assuming the swipe down from the top would be used for the notifications in Android. Maybe two-finger swipe down...

    I'm hoping this is legit.

    1. Get a screenshot of the Work Space switch in action.
    2. Photoshop.
    3. Load the image in your Passport.
    4. Take a photo.

It's that simple. And it's not hard to do.
