BlackBerry explains how the Priv stays secure on the Android platform

As if you were able to hack your BBOS, Playbook or BB10 previously ?
Stop saying silly things.

I've never had one of those devices. I'm a nexus guy since the nexus one. Currently on a nexus 6. Haven't had a blackberry since my bold 9000 but I really like the blackberry hardware and physical keyboard. That's why I had a ton of interest in the priv. Unfortunately, I like to root and rom my devices. If I wanted to be locked out I would get an iPhone.
I think that is a silly thing to say... if security is something you are interested in. Locking the ROM is step one in securing Android.
But I think most of the Android power user crowd will agree with you.... Between losing that ability and the price, it getting more difficult to see a path for success for the PRIV among the Android crowd.
But hey we really only have to attract the attention of 5 million past BlackBerry keyboard loving fans.
the majority does NOT root their phone.
Thinking that a few who want to root are turned off does not represent the total audience.

I actually got shafted when I bought the note 4 for at&t, I'm unable to root, I should have gotten the unlocked version.
Although to be honest I'm kind of down tinkering with my phones. I use to spend hours and hours just tweaking stuff out, I've sort of lost interest so now I just need a phone that works.
