Please tell me why private OS by silent circle a fork of Android has google play store and services?

What happened to your OHA law of the universe?

Btw their custom permissions manager is awesome and it's not even running Android M.

I hope we get a version of this on the Priv.

It passes Android CTS and the runtime doesn't. Pretty simple.

It actually fits with OHA regs... there is a post somewhere explaining it. Something about them changing some things.

Maybe because BP2 is still an Android device whereas, BB10 is not Android OS (obviously).

OTH, I remember there was a story in the demise-of-Blackberry book: Losing the Signal. In 2007, Apple was able to get an agreement with AT&T to allow internet service on the 1st gen of IPhones, even though it would overload the AT&T network, and it did in big cities. Whereas, RIM could not get that that kind of agreement with any carrier and it's one of the reasons they never pursued developing internet access on their devices until it was too late. Point: did someone else again able to make an agreement with a critical company and BB was again left out in the cold?
