I would not expect BlackBerry to make a slider be their flagship since they are known for their Keyboard. If these specs are true, then this will be a major upgrade for ANY BB user currently. Pretty much for any Android user as well. The camera will delight many and the 3 GB Ram will be a pleasant addition to most users.

Wonder what their base storage memory will be. Anything less than 32GB will be a slap in the yap.
.... And SD Card. Will we be able to add a media card and how big?

No? No need for 4GB RAM, you will never use all of it.

If it had 4 they could heighten the 8 App open limit, it's a bit daft, my Symbian on 512MB of RAM managed 56 Apps before it started closing them.

Reason being is that the 810 is known to throttle performance under heavy load.....that is why a lot of android manufacturers opten for the 808 hexa core instead.....

The reason it throttles performance is because it overheats ... The overheating is the primary issue. The processor knows when it's hot and de-clocks to protect itself from damage.

5.4" is a tad too big for my liking, but I said this about when Passport was announced :-).

    Cheers

The screen is almost the size of the iPhone 6 Plus. That will look like a monster when the keyboard is deployed.

and that's why, in my opinion, this phone will fail!

also, those specs smells Android, which I'll totally be fine with it (if there's a way to keep the hub)...

    I don't think I would mind going from a 5.7" Note 3 to this 5.4" if:

    - There's a microSDXC slot
    - The battery is removable
    - There's (optional) inductive charging
    - It is waterproof (which I miss from my S5)
    - There's more effort to bring essential Android apps to the Amazon Appstore, even if only distributed "AS IS"

But the portrait slider will be useless, for me it should be landscape.

These specs come from n4bb. So take it with a huge grain of salt. They throw stuff out pretty regularly that doesn't happen

Why do you think it will be months before 10.3.3 is released? Do you think that 10.3.3 will have revolutionary features or just patches? If it is going to be months for 10.3.3, it would be many many more for 10.4. Face the fact that BB10 is what it is and that BlackBerry is going Android and BB10 will be ignored.

I'd definitely prefer the exynos chipset but not too shabby. 5.4" isn't that big of the bezels are done right.

It's not say so. BlackBerry has abandoned the future with BB10. All you have to do is look at the developer site and what BlackBerry is telling developers and the lack of plans for moving BB10 native development forward. If they aren't moving BB10 forward and telling developers to write for Amazon and other languages, it means that they are moving away from BB10.

There's also no need for 64bit then either. Anything over 4GB of RAM is only used by a 64bit OS if I remember correctly. 4 and below can be run on a 32bit OS.

so if this is a slider, with a 5.4 screen, how much bigger does it get when you slide out the keyboard? another inch and a bit?

The android troll brigade are repeating the same old drivel without answering how it would even be possible, given the terms of the OHA.

There is also the RAM consideration : 3GB is fine for BB10 + the android run time. But for a smooth android experience with that huge high resolution screen, a minimum of 5GB would be required and it's not there.

The entire android argument is now the sole preserve of low IQ trolls, who don't have the first idea how to get a life.
