For you folks with devices locked to Bell, are your security patches coming from Bell or directly from BB?

I suspect from Bell, as there is a delay between the monthly announcement, and us getting the patch.

I think directly from Bell since the carrier needs to vet the update before releasing. On a similar subject, I received my June security patch today.

Reason why I was asking is because I may be picking up a Keyone as my secondary device from Bell. On my current device (Priv), I think there was still a delay between announcement and when I actually got the patch (10 days or so)? I'm unlocked (STV100-1).

On another note, are there Bell-specific apps in your phones (that are added by Bell)?

I don't have any Bell specific apps on my Priv. Was your phone previously carrier-locked? The reason I mention this is because I also have an unlocked Priv but it was purchased from Bell. If you get a Key One from Bell then you won't be getting updates until the patch is vetted.
