    Is this a setting I can't find or a flaw?

    I am using AT&T's Visual Voicemail app, 4.1.0.0018 and running Android 6.0.1, August 5 2017 patch on STV100-1.

    If I am listening to a visual voicemail on speakerphone, when the screen times out to black, the call cuts off. (Yes, I know I can set the screen timeout to a longer period, but I am not interested in reducing battery performance just so I can occasionally listen to a voicemail.)

    i think there is a setting "allow app to extend screen time out " ,i just can't remember how to get to it ,
    maybe someone else can help you with that

    Thank you for your suggestion. It seems like there would be such a setting, but I haven't been able to figure it out. There's an app that may do it, but I haven't tried it yet:

    I was hoping there was a built-in setting.
