In recent interviews, Chen has said the screen size will be 5.5 then 5.25, while all the leaks have suggested 5.4. Has anyone really analyzed the leaked photos to see what you come up with? I was personally hoping for 5.5, which would compete with Iphone 6s plus and other phablets. 5.25 would be closer to a GS6 phone.

Here are two photos that show the phone pretty well. What do you think?Screen Size: 5.25, 5.4 or 5.5?-bemnn9v.jpgScreen Size: 5.25, 5.4 or 5.5?-blackberry-venice-aa-8-840x1132.jpg

Compare the font size of the BlackBerry logo and multiply it via height and width of the phone.

someone could take the image of the bottom of the phone with the headphone jack and move that here and use it to determine the screen.

Not me though, I don't math.

The problem with the leaks is that we don't know the source, and once something appears on the internet it gets repeated over and over to the point at which it becomes a verifiable "fact".

Back in June when the first Android Slider rumors began there were also rumors that Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge would have 5.4, 5.5, or 5.7 inch screen. The actual size turned out to be 5.1

Using the two images above, I just made scaled comparisons based on the best information available. I measured the screen sized based on the Priv's "specified" screen size of 1440 x 2560.

Keeping in mind that we're looking straight down on a curved screen, I'm getting diagonal measurements of about 5.1 inches, so perhaps that would be 5.25 inches allowing for the curved edges.

At this point, I'm going with John Chen.

Exactly my point. It's an unverified rumor which you can find all over the internet, so it must true, even if it's not.

Except for the ones that said it had a 5.1 inch screen. How quickly we forgot.

The differences are because of the edge. The smaller spec is actual screen size, the larger, total screen size including edges.

Looks below 5.4 using a G4 and it's 5.4 and I just can't imagine a keyboard sliding out on this phone would be huge!!!!

So, with the hands that got a hold of the few Privs that got out, and no one thought to put a darned ruler on the thing?

At least give us a definite width and height to go on.

Good question. It's like people don't know what to do when they finally get it in hand. Instead of getting hard specs, we hear it runs Google and slides. I want details! LOL

In one of the recent hands on, it (the Priv) was said to be slightly longer than a Z30, which is consistent with current estimates of about 5.7 inches. Estimated width is about the same as the Z30 at about 2.9 inches.

5.7 inches is the approximate height of the device, not the screen. Just a bit longer than the Z30 which is 5.53 inches.

Yes, it's absolutely annoying. And in every other hands on people just flick through the damn app drawer or show the funny lollipop thing in the about screen. Absoulte USELESS information and it show how clueless and unprofessional they do their work.

Hell open the HUB, Contacts, Calendar, Test the speakers (mono or stereo? How loud are they?), Measure the device, turn up the screen brightness and at least compare it to other devices screens, run a benchmark and highlight the BlackBerry specific customizations in DETAIL (like the little notification icons in the notifications panel).

This is what I want to know about the PRIV.
