Some people on this forum have been saying about the impossibility of Android dual booting with any other OS and how google tends to shut them down.

What say you guys about this then?

Maybe there's a chance the Venice will feature dual boot?

Intel chips are usually incorporated in Android / Windows dual-boot phones and tablets, I suppose.

But this phone is driven by MediaTek MT6795 (http://www.mediatek.com/en/products/...phone1/mt6795/).

Actually the specs are pretty damn decent. If I find it, I'll probably give it a try.

If it doesn't have Google play services then this thread is fairly pointless.

That Elephone is too good to be true.... 4200 mAh battery? Yeah right.... bet it wouldn't even beat a Z10 in a battery test. Unfortuantely, in my experience with these lesser devices, the battery size never holds true to what you would expect.

Similar happened with Samsung except it doesn't actually break OHA rules. The truth was neither Google or Microsoft wanted this (Google more) so they put pressure on them to kill it. SO not to **** off Google they did

I have a laptop that I dual boot windows 7 / Ubuntu. Ubuntu is "open source ". If Android is so "open source " why does Google complain? Or is Android really "open source on our terms ".

Google doesn't complain when you dual boot or use AOS. They draw the line at accessing their services. Or at least they draw that line for now.

You guys are confusing the operating system with the services. If the OS is open source or there are no rules against it, you can do what you want...
