    Hi there,

I receive a number of ICS calendar appointments as email attachments (e.g. flight booking and the like). With BB10 when opening these I was given the option to add them to the calendar of my choice, however on my Priv some of them don't open (message reads "There was a problem with the ICS data") and others open, show the appointment title and time, but there is no option to add it to any of my calendars and it doesnt automatically appear in the calendars.

Is this just another Android issue - or am I missing a way to get these adding in without having to re-enter the information manually

FIXED with cal update Feb 2017:

I also have problems adding local (on device) ics files to BlackBerry calendar by opening .ics in solid explorer.

    BlackBerry Calendar error :
    Problem occurred with ICS file
    (translated from German)

The same file with CRLF breaks (changed with jota editor) works well by importing it on PRIV into the google calendar webapp, so it seems the syntax should be OK: https://calendar.google.com/calendar/
and it is marked as correct and well-formed too in:
    iCalendar Validator

    Code:
    BEGIN:VCALENDAR
    VERSION:2.0
    METHOD:PUBLISH
    BEGIN:VEVENT
    UID:www.mysite.com_1_790
    DTSTAMP:20160121T102100
    DTSTART:20160124T171500Z
    DTEND:20160124T210000Z
    CATEGORIES:Nationalmannschaft Mnner
    SUMMARY:EURO 2016: Deutschland – Russland ARD
    END:VEVENT
    END:VCALENDAR

Also attached as ics renamed to txt for upload.

    Files taken from here: http://www.handball.de/handball-im-tv.html

My Configuration: all updates dec/jan on app/os done and only having 1 google calendar account (nothing else) in bb cal, which is worting fine other then the ics prob.

This ^ is fixed with calendar app update Feb 2017. I could also choose whatever calendar I would like to add it (local aCalendar, google or EAS).

Also it seems to be fixed if I recieve an event to an mail-account not having a calendar-account associated (like IMAP only non-google accounts) I can now choose at which calendar account I would like to have the ics/event to be added.

On top you can now view the raw-ics files on hub in the new Attachment-View. So you can also save/forward/edit them for later use.

So this is again partly broken.

Adding a simple .ics file from a file explorer does work with aCalendar but gives an error in german "Fehler beim Lesen des Besprechungsdatei" while adding same file to BlackBerry Calendar v.1.5.6.13927 (Oct 2017)

    Code:
    BEGIN:VCALENDAR
    VERSION:2.0
    METHOD:PUBLISH
    BEGIN:VEVENT
    UID:www.mysite.com_1_790
    DTSTAMP:20160121T102100
    DTSTART:20160124T171500Z
    DTEND:20160124T210000Z
    SUMMARY:EURO 2016: Deutschland
    END:VEVENT
    END:VCALENDAR
Adding to calendar works when SAME .ics is sent via mail in hub and adding event directly in hub to calendar, but not if saved as file and trying to add to calendar via solid explorer.
