I'm a bit suspicious about it though, the screen cap of the rendering has WeChat on it and is in Simplified Chinese, which seems to indicate the rendering is from China, likely just by hobbyists.

Well colors and variants have been successful in the past....

Chen might have a bunch of Black PRIVs sitting around, changing out the frame and keyboard might be a way to move them. Who knows what kind of agreement Chen had to make to get some Carriers take the PRIV on... might have had to guarantee unsold inventory could be returned.

But this does look like just a fan render.

I'd surely grab one if they had improved the build quality on this model. spec up in terms of front camera and pkb alone would be a must buy for me

Remember this (see link) from March of 2015? It looks as though BlackBerry was considering one in white before the Priv came out. Scroll down in the article and there is a picture of Ron Louks holding a black slider in one hand and a white one in the other.

I believe there are people who would have preferred it (including me). As Smart548 said above, a person can dream that they are still planning a white one.

I doubt BlackBerry would come out with another Priv. Chen should just reduce the price to $400 now that AT&T and T-Mobile have dropped it. Recoup the cost and move on to the other Androids coming out later this year.

Blackberry up next should release a All Touch phone keep it top range specs great front and back cameras and market it cheaper then all the flagships, to do this has to be without the keyboard which will cut costs.

Also release a mid range with good specs and a keyboard for work users.

Think that is the best way to get the most out of hardware sales.

That wasn't a android and blackberry has the security and all the rest, a beefed up z30 the z50 we all wanted curved screen great camera front and back updated os with new features solid design no slider so no lose parts. Market it just below the flagship prices. I think they would be onto a winner.
