Where did you buy the device and how long have you had it?

"Flashlights" are typically apps that just turn on the device's camera flash until you turn it off again. Are you saying your flash doesn't turn on?
Does your flash work when taking a photo?

Just contact BlackBerry or your carrier they will probably replace the phone for free.

Sorry about the late response. I agree with mrjmc99, see if you can get it replaced. The flash shouldn't be broken already. If they don't replace it for you, come back here and post again, maybe we can troubleshoot what's going on with it. There are always repair shops like uBreakiFix, Fon Doctor, Bob Knows Phones, etc.

I doubt there's much more you could do besides sending it in for repair.

Before we go into repair shops, have you tried contacting Blackberry as someone else above suggested?
The flash shouldn't just stop working after one month. I'm surprised the carrier won't do something, but Blackberry most likely will, from what I've heard. I know Google would with their Nexus devices. Hopefully I haven't been spoiled.

How can it already be not under warranty? Isn't the warranty one year?

Re-phrase the complaint when trying to get warranty repair / replace.

Don't say the flashlight doesn't work, flashlight is an app.
Tell them the camera flash doesn't work correctly, that is a hardware issue, and should be under warranty for a year.
