Just like you did for the original Passport! I chose to wait it out for the eventual upgrade and it paid off. I'm in no hurry to buy another blackberry device for a while until all the device defects for new releases sort themselves out.

I haven't had any issues with mine since last year so... sure, I'll take the lightly stiffer keys in exchange for 9 (10?) months of using it before people that waited for the Silver Edition.

Good thing the slider also has a VKB then. Side note, have had a Q5 in the household for about two years being used by a heavy texter. Never double typed.

Does my original passport double-type? Yes. Do I correct myself more now than on my previous android? No. I'm a very happy person with my passport, flaws and all. Still the best phone I've ever owned, and still amazing people all the time with the things I can do that they cannot.

When? I'm usually not the one to get lucky with anything, but it has been 26 months of reasonably heavy keyboard use, and there is no sign of double typing on my Q10.

Not necessarily. My daughter has had a Q10 for 14 months and hammers on it nearly all day at machinegun speed. No DT issues. I've got a 10 month old Passport and no issues here either and since it's a business phone, it's always banging out exhaustive emails. Based on my experience, since We're making absolute statements: double typing does not occur and you won't get it.
