I use OS Monitor to see what's running whenever my phone is running hot. And at the most sporadic times BlackBerry services starts spiking CPU usage.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Ya me too. Last few days my phone has been warming up quite a bit. Haven't done anything different...just started happening. Weird

**update** downloaded the App the OP suggested and I just killed everything that shouldn't be running in the background. Stupid Wallpapers HD has been running constantly along with some other apps...why are they still running when they've been closed who knows?? Anyway the results are battery has stabilized and no more heating and I've been using it constantly. If so the big question is why are those apps running in the background when I've closed them in the multi tasking screen??

I've had stuff run in the background when I closed them also.

Managing apps on Android is more troublesome than it should be.

The OS Monitor app is really handy being able to kill and reset the processes.
