If you haven't yet bought a charger that make use of this feature on your new Priv, I highly recommend it. Today is my first day with mine (Aukey car charger) and it's incredible. 20% to 50% in 15min while using the device at the same time!

And it's worth noting that my tablet was plugged into the same charger and my phone screen was on full brightness during that period.

Does it have to be QC certified? I thought it just charged faster?

The one I got is. Don't think I'd use one that wasn't. And yea, it just charges a lot faster.

Crap I put a hard wired usb port in my car and I know it's not QC and that is the only place I would use a QC adapter. I always use low amperage chargers for over night to trickle charge the battery over 8 hours. Batteries are actually damaged from fast charging. it takes life off the battery so I only use high amperage chargers in places like the car when if I have to ise it I know it's for a short period of time.

Quote from Mobile Nations article on lipo batteries

However lithium batteries degrade over time, and this process is sped up at higher temperatures, especially by the ambient temperature increase caused by charging. (Not to mention actually*using*your device, which also generates heat.) Its one of the reasons why its beneficial to use a low amperage charger for overnight charging, as faster charging causes a greater increase in battery temperature.

Do you have to enable quick charge or do you just pop a quick charger in

Does quick charge work on every variant of the phone? I have a UK version

They're all QC 2.0 devices, and yes the charger has to be QC 2.0 certified. And yes, I can confirm it makes a world of difference.

Bizarre that it didn't ship with a QC 2.0 charger!

Its worth getting a certified 2.0 quick-charger as they really aren't much more expensive than other stuff - I've had good experiences like the OP with Aukey

The processor model determines if it supports QC or not and everyone got the same processor so yes all modles should support this. I agree it would be nice if it shipped with one, but I know it would have raised the price.

I know on my girlfriends S6edge a message pops up saying something like fast charge enabled, i wish it would say something like that as well for us.

The messages on the S6 is just telling you what kind or charger you plugged in.
I also use the slower charger at home. No rush needed when it's overnight anyway.
I believe that a certified charger won't harm your battery. It actually slows down after you hit 75% to protect battery health.
One thing I did notice in the instructions, I said to not leave the phone plugged in once the battery is full.

My thoughts exactly. Which is why I bought the car charger and not the wall charger.
