Yes, and Play Music also includes a virtual surround function that works nicely.

You can load third-party music players as well.

There's a wide variety of ringtones and putting others in the "ringtone" folder on the device or SD card has them show up (that's a standard Android thing.)

As far as tones go, I was wondering if they sounded like classic BlackBerry tones, Droid or a mix of both.

I have no interest in loading apps for a music player, so that's why I was asking if the EQ options were there by default like on my current BB.

That seems rather restrictive. Android has a large number of high quality music apps - certainly better than any stock ones.

In less time than it took you to post this, you could've found a music player on the play store superior to the one on your z30. But yes Google Play Music already includes this functionality.
