    When connecting to public Wifi the login page comes up as redirect.example.com. It comes up as an android notification.

    Really public wifi sucks and is very unsecure.

    Are you saying you can't connect to a new wifi provider?

    Go into Settings, wifi, the 3 dots on the top right of the screen. There are choices there.

    I can connect to any other Wifi network except public Hotspots.

    Are you using a work provided phone, or a phone that uses bes or similar?

    I'm wondering if you've been blocked ....

    No its a personal phone. I can connect to the network and when I select the network notification to log in I am redirected by android. Seems to be a common problem.

    Is the wifi frequency band set at auto ?

    Settings, wifi, frequency band ...

    I haven't had any probs connecting to my public library, though I haven't tested recently.
