Well it happened. My son drop his Priv in a pot off water. He was over the sink filling a pot of water and playing with the phone at the same time when i hear "plup" and see him with a water soaked phone in his hand. "It slipped from his hand" he said and he watched it go in, less than a second. I turned the phone off got as much water out and off the phone as i could and placed it in a bag of rice. That was two days ago and the phone is dead. Won't power on and when i plug the charger all i get is a battery icon with an exclamation point in the center. I Have insurance on the phone that will cover water damage but i'm sure there will be a deductible to pay. Any chance i can get this phone up and running?

this happened to my z30, sadly.... back in the day. left it in rice for 2 days and it survived. but i could of just been really lucky.

Good thing you had insurance that covers water damage despite the deductible...well worth it in my opinion.

I just added insurance on my Priv through AT&T which covers water damage as well as lost and stolen.
