It's got one of the very best batteries in all of Smartphone land! And they still managed to make the device thin. This is amazing.

Just 40 mAh difference between two high-end power house BlackBerry smartphone devices.

I was expecting an increase, oh well.
The 40 mAh difference is pretty impressive considering they're adding a PKB and still managed a thin form...you're really bitchin and rolling your eyes?

Pretty disappointing to see the priv has a smaller battery than the passport...

with all the background android junk going on, I can't imagine getting through a day... since I average 6-8 hours on passport...

What where you expecting? a 5000mAh battery? guess what... they just can't fit in, there isn't enought room to get a laptop sized battery in it, it's just a question of looking at the competition, they don't, because they can't

If you expected a bigger battery, shame on you, you just needed to google similar sized devices to understand that in 2015 it isn't possible to have a monster battery in thin device. If we look at the competition the Priv does great because it has a well above average battery size, and still has to carry a keyboard inside.

If you ever saw a picture of the priv, you should never expect at laptop battery size in a phone like this, at least, not in 2015's technology.

It has a OLED display that consumes less battery if that makes any happier.

It lasts 23.5 hours instead of 24. That's 50% less on the last hour. Unacceptable!!

I easily get a full day from my Passport. Often more, sometimes two days. And I stream SiriusXm radio.

The battery may be smaller but I wouldn't be surprised if the Priv gets the same battery life as the Passport.

BB10 isn't exactly the most energy-efficient OS either.
My LG G2 almost always have more battery in the morning with similar apps and emails syncing in the background.

People also need to remember that once it gets marshmallow update, the battery should be a lot better.

I would imagine Android and bb10 uses battery differently so it's not a "fair" comparison.

I'd imagine Android tends to eat up more juice than bb10 as a whole but of course that is determined by a million other things including how the user uses the device.

So long it lasts through the day.
Most people charge it at night anyway because they would love to start the day with 100%. So don't really see the point of two day battery.

If I need it to last, for a trip or a hike or something like that, I would pack my 10,400 mAh portable.

Other considerations.. the Priv processor (Snapdragon 808) should be more battery efficient than the Passport one (Snapdragon 801) .
The Amoled screen on the Priv should help in saving even more juice when compared with the LCD on the Passport (even if the screen is bigger)

Add another thousand of factors and variable here.. (due also to the use of completely different OS)..

But I would think that the Priv would have the same autonomy of the Passport or slightly less
