Google Play Services cannot be uninstalled, or even disabled. All you could have done is uninstalled updates.
Clear your cache and reboot the phone. If you still can't get to the play store, use a real computer and re-insatll Play Services.

PRIV on Verizon says update available ,waiting for WiFi. Tried to update when on home WiFi( which is functioning). Just keeps flipping from downloading to waiting for WiFi. I have done the press and hold to reset and powered down. Still nothing.

FINALLY I got the update!

Had verification problem so I had uninstall Google Play, but it's downloading now.

I'm having the same problem. I did the work around and now it's update but it won't recognize my Sim card. 🤷🏾

I hope this will help all those having problems.

1. Backup your PRIV (go into "Settings" and
click on backup),

2. Do a factory reset after you finish backup,
go into ("Settings" click on factory reset),

3. Switch off your PRIV after the factory
reset,

4. Now switch your PRIV back on,

5. Download the update,

6. Install the update.

7. Reinstall your backup.

8. You are finished.
