Lol I figured you did. I will try it again today while charging and see what happens. I drove for about 2 hours yesterday one way and it took about 50% of the battery and was very warm during the trip.

Find out what's eating your battery and you'll find out about what making your device hot.
I'm willing to bet it's a sync issue with the hub.
All the hot priv's seem to have this problem.
Delete the hub, hard reset and then reinstall the hub and then add your email accounts.

mine usually heats up playing clash of clans but my passport did this as well. the battery saving option is probably the best idea for my situation.
I put mine in the fridge to keep cool.

I have the feeling this is related with encryption. Priv gets hot when data is loaded, e.g. installing apps or transferring data.
I had the same heat and battery issues. Tried and the tip I found on here and nothing helped. Downloaded and app that identified "blackberry services" as the cause of both problems. Disabled that and problem solved. Once I see a new update in Google play, I'll give it another shot.

Do know what that app is for?
Search for it in Google play and read the description. It's basically the background service that syncs all the blackberry stuff together (hub, calender, etc)

Is it possible to turn off device encryption on the PRIV?
