I have a new Priv and got a sync pod to go with it. But I cannot for the life of me figure out how to snap the spacer into place to hold it securely so it doesn't damage the delicate USB port. There are no usable instructions included. Has anyone had luck with this or know where to find a demo or even a diagram for its use? Thank you for your help

As a follow it seems like should be wide lip facing to the phone for no case and narrow toward phone if a hard shell case is used.

I can't get my phone to daydream with the clock when in the sync pod unless I let the screen timeout. Is that normal? As a work around I installed the daydream App to initiate. What is the difference between the sync pod and just charging your phone?

There is NO difference. It is just a means of holding the device in a more upright position making it convenient as a bedside clock. It also serves to divert the power cord connection in another direction.
