Does anybody know if the priv STV100-3 Models unlocked can be updated to the last update??

A buddy of mine wants one from eBay new but if it can't update to what we got now he gonna look for STV100-1

Just run the autoloader if you have any problems with updating, your choice which one.
Above is thanks to thurask, and is on the 'stickys' at the beginning of this forum.
Anecdotally, the -3 gets updates OTA a week or 3 after the -1. Though if I remember correctly there was a month, maybe 2 where it got updated first.

Got my STV100-3 a couple of weeks back, and the minute I fired it up received all the updates. Currently on MM 6.0.1 with the September 5 security patch.

So tell your buddy to go ahead!
