most likely...it's all about creating a buzz, but hopefully the actual numbers will confirm it otherwise it will be a nice slap to the face

Who would have thought we'd be seeing these kinds of headlines?

BlackBerry Priv already sold out at Walmart, shares soar - comments
    Yeah, truly shocking:

How soon they forget. This isn't the first time a new BlackBerry device sells out.

Unfortunately, I see no reason to discount the low download number (less than 50,000) for Priv-only Android apps on Google Play. It implies that less than 50,000 Privs are currently in use globally.

Some have said pre-installed, or system apps, don't get counted, but if that were true the download number would be zero for these apps.

As far as I can tell, the Passport did much better than the Priv, and that is a scary thought since if the Passport was not enough to save BlackBerry's handset business, then a phone that sells even less certainly won't be.

Does anyone know if the unlocked priv being sold at walmart is factory or ATT unlocked? It just says "unlocked". $329 right now.

Why does it matter if it's AT&T or not? Updates for the unlocked AT&T model as of recently come directly from BlackBerry so there isn't any difference in functionality etc. Afaik, the only difference is the logo on the rear battery cover.

My understanding is that is only the case if you are using a non-ATT sim card that the updates come from BlackBerry. So if you don't know the answer to my question then I don't need your input

Not true. It just has to be carrier - unlocked though if I was setting up a new one I'd do the update and setup before putting in the SIM....

Looks like online only. Spinning wheels here. Just curious if anyone has gotten one from WM and whether it's ATT unlocked or factory unlocked. All I'm asking.
