In the tread already talking about this..... there are guess all over the board.
It's back in Stock for online only, no pick up

Probably had 100 units
Walmart? I'd be more inclined to thinking it would be more then 100

Even if BlackBerry isn't shipping too many I am inclined to believe Walmart got a couple thousand. Spread it out across all the stores and it's not too many per store.

Walmart has it? Not where I live.
They were not shown at all online earlier today. But they did have a Z30 for 260, and a Torch for 370.. but it was a red one, so that makes sense!! Lol.

I wonder if they, Walmart, merely posted the webpage but haven't actually received stock yet...
Did they sell out again? I thought they had more in stock this morning?
BlackBerry Priv STV100-1 GSM Slider Android Smartphone (Unlocked) - Walmart.com
From a logistics expert who deals a lot with Walmart says the minimum amount would be 5000 to start. It would be increased if they sell out quickly which they have. It's a good start for BlackBerry here.
Available for pickup from ATlanta and Kennesaw WalMart's on 18th Dec.
5000 company wide divided by the number of stores. The number of stores is ~4100-4200 in the US. So one device per store is all they need a minimum to sell out.
So...I guess we can finally all agree that the 10,000 downloads is complete nonsense if they sold 5000 devices in one day from one retailer.
Did they sell out from stores or from online?
Mark, something tells me, online...
So then why all the headlines? The same thing happens on amazon...I suppose that there were headlines for that as well but online there doesn't seem to be a huge amount of supply.
To be honest, I don't have facts, merely guessing here.
Albeit, is this the FIRST BlackBerry that WalMart have sold? If so, I understand all the attention, etc. In addition, when a giant conglomerate like WalMart, sells something like this, to me, it raises eyebrows, in a good way...

As well as your prediction of 9,000,000 in sales based on the number of tweets the Priv has received.

No, originating order would be for the Walmart online amount and they would not ship one or two per store. They do it regionally for physical stores so some stores get certain items while others get other items.
Perhaps somewhere in between...:)
I believe when the numbers are released sales will well exceed Blackberrys expectations on sales. The Priv is a one of a kind device that has way too many positive reviews for a new launch not to sell.

True dat, an Android device with a PKB...
Who would have thought we'd be seeing these kinds of headlines?
BlackBerry Priv already sold out at Walmart, shares soar - comments
Even if they are only a drop shipper? Walmart.com and stores are quite different, a lot of stuff on Walmart.com isn't even actually stocked by Walmart themselves.
They are not sold in stores, online only!
