Snowball: The Messaging Inbox to Rule Them All

It does look like a viable BB Hub "killer." Wouldn't surprise me to see the Hub go the way of Docs to Go.
Hub might provide a short-term advantage but if is of interest it will be quickly be copied by other OEMs. The other thing is of course (and we have no real data on this), we don't know how many users will ever use it - given you can swap out pretty much anything on Android.

    Why don't you ask dkonigsberg_wa?
Cuz I assumed that dkonigsberg_wa only does the whatsapp for bb10. But ill try.

    Concerning Notifications

They showed us how to change the general notification sounds from the default.

I didn't see how you could change the default sounds per app...like one custom sound for BBM, custom sound for whatssap etc. I use this extensively.

    Will this be possible?

YES... key shortcuts confirmed. Loved that on my Classic.

Hopefully W can be reassigned this time, I really don't need voicemail.
Where did you see this confirmed brother? I want this too.

They brought back the feature of having each individual account as a home screen icon!! Its an option you can select under the account settings! Reminds me of BlackBerry OS7 days

This is cool! I didn't even know you could do this on BBOS7. But I really like it!

Why did I just look at all this? My wallet is about to scream.
I want my wallet to scream. All this great information already released and we still don't know with any certainty when this will be available through the carriers, and especially on Verizon. One would think that "priming the pump" would include the who, where and when.

I talked with a Verizon store rep yesterday, and he hasn't heard of it. That's really no surprise though.

But the closer we get to actual availability, the more they should be hearing about it if they're going to be offering it.

So does this actually confirm third party support in the Hub?

Pretty sure BlackBerry didn't write the Facebook and Twitter apps on Android.
Hope other messaging like whatsapp and facebook messenger are supported aswell. Hate facebook messenger not working with the hub in BB10..

Okay I might actually break my bank on this device after I read through the pages. The productivity edge and the hub could give what I miss in Android.

Hearing and pushing will depend on how much money BBRY puts into carrier incentives and other bits of co-funding.

Well I couldn't give a fart about what's app, Facebook, or snapchat, but I'm seeking enough that I like in this phone that if/ when vzw gets it I might have to get one. Seeing that beautiful BlackBerry vkb and some of the swipe gestures are just about enough to do it for me. Heck if us cellular carries it, then I just might play the what will you give me to keep me/ bring me over game. I still don't like Google, but it's looking like there isn't going to be a lot of choice on staying with bb10 in the future.

CGK did a great job! Why all the negative vibes? Just move on you don't have to buy nor will anyone miss your sarcastic remarks.

The fricking phone isn't even launched yet!
