Is there any indication on the number of BlackBerry Priv units ordered/sold?

    We can only guess.

I think that sales have so far gone reasonably well. Here on Long Island, there were originally dozens of AT&T stores that had stock on Friday. Now, there are only two. These stores probably didn't have many units but you can only sell what you have.

Seems to be better then any BB10 phone in Canada by my estimation? I bought mine direct from Rogers, granted each Rogers store only had two phones at launch it appears a good majority sold out, reps in two different stores said that the demand was a surprise and they had to turn people away cause they were out.

When I bought my q10 and passport they laughed when I asked if they had any stock because no one was interested.

I am not expecting huge numbers to start due to limited stock but I think we may see good traction over the year

I just saw a video from CTV in waterloo and they interviewed a Bell rep at a local store there. Apparantly there is a lot of interest, and they had trouble keeping stock. Promising news for sure

Also, Shop BlackBerry and B&H pushed back new orders to the 2nd half of the month. Apparently, the early pre-orders emptied the initial stock.

It's a good sign that they sold everything they got, but still those numbers will be low.
Anyway, hype is still building up with those stories plus Chen gave some nice and good interviews about the future.

It's LOOKING good, now hope it is good.

This is what I am thinking, its still blackberry we aren't going to see the crazy high numbers. It seems to me to be far more interest shown than any of the BB10 phones which is a good sign, if initial sales are decent and they are able to bring Marshmallow fairly soon in the new year and have another (or a bigger) marketing push once some of the bugs are worked out, this phone may exceed their sales expectations

From what I like about the device it should hold its own in sales but it's a crowded android market the new kid should sell.

I just tried phoning around Telus and Rogers:

2 places were sold out and expecting more in on Tuesday.
1 place had 1 left in stock, but it was on reserve.
1 place had not got them in yet.

Apparently, you can only purchase it with a contract so I will have to wait. So far the sales are only those people who are either existing customers upgrading...or signing new contracts. I imagine there are a lot of people still waiting (as I am) to just buy the phone outright.

If Google play numbers can be trusted last I saw hub and the others were listed at 1000-5000 downloads.

The anecdotal evidence is quite promising. Two of the Telus stores closest to me sold out on launch day, and the one I got my Priv at the following day told me they haven't seen demand like this for a BlackBerry in years.

Anecdotal evidence is still unreliable, so take it with a grain of salt. But I'm more optimistic about the Priv than I have been about the last few devices.

You can tell by the number of blackberry app updates on google play, especially the priv only apps.

The Corporate TELUS that I went to said they had 30 and they were all gone early Friday.

And that is Halifax. Hopefully that is the same elsewhere.

Sales will likely increase significantly once the Priv is officially being sold by Verizon and other U.S. carriers.
