Got mine off of eBay and paid through PayPal about a month ago: $249.20 shipped. I say go for it - it's a quality phone and a reasonable price.

I am considering a Priv because performance is pretty close to Keyone. Battery will not be good as Keyone but good enough for me. It seems like coupon code doesn't work now so may have to play $270

Battery life has been great for me. I don't do any social networking so that may be why it is so good. If you are a moderate to heavy user like me you should be fine.

If the Priv holds up the way it has been lately I can hold out on the Keyone until next year (Just got the Priv this month) I gave up my Nexus 6p for a priv and I don't have any regrets.

I mostly read stuff and text msg so priv should be more than enough for me.

I have to know how are you getting such a low price? I can actually afford this price and it might push me away from my Passport!

Best UK price I've seen for a brand new in box, unsealed, warrantied Priv is £299.99 from Carphone Warehouse instore (got mine there in November). Bargain at that price.

Can't figure out why you would be bitter. If you are an early adopter of any device, you will pay more than you would if you will wait a few months. There is always a sale here or there. There is always a discount that comes later, but never sooner.

I was an early adopter of the old 9800 and paid th full release price. Wasn't long until it was a $100 off. But back then it was cool to have the latest and greatest.

Now I want the latest and greatest, but I have watched the price cycles. Now I get the almost latest and greatest at half the cost.

You should be good. I regularly get two full days out of my PRIV, with monitoring work and personal emails.
If I start streaming stuff, that cuts the battery down dramatically, although Slacker radio isn't too bad.

I use Swipe for my Facebook - it doesn't monitor constantly - I trade off a somewhat slow initialization for the freedom of not having it constantly monitoring in the background.

Think of it as cost per day of use. I ordered mine on release day from ShopBlackBerry and it arrived at the end of Nov 2015. I paid $700 US. Comes to about $1.45 per day now for HAVING it since I got it instead of waiting till now to get it. It was definitely worth it to me.

That is a great analogy, until I use it to amortize my daily $ amount for my car.......

This is the way of the world. When something is first introduced, it always goes for a steep asking price. I bought a PS4 500 gb when they first came out for about 500 plus tax. Got a game and a controller and the total came out to be right at 700 with taxes.

Now you can get a PS4 for more than half the cost now with a game included. Still love mine the same.

    This.

I was deeply tempted to get the Priv at launch, but could not justify buying it at almost $1000 where I live. So I stayed at the sidelines until last September when price here dropped to around $400. Glad I was able to curb my lust. I've learned my lesson already not to get the K1 until probably mid to late next year.
