Telus, Rogers?
Sorry only checked rogers and wireless wave. If I see a Telus next mall I go to I will ask

thanks for this!! I was going to head over to Willowbrook Mall on my lunch to see if I could track one down to play with.
Nice to see another local BB fan!
Don't bother with ANY dealer stores. They will not sell outright.
How can u tell which is corporate?

Yes, they are in the business of selling contracts, not phones.
I played with a dummy display unit at Rogers in Scotsdale Mall yesterday.
I'm curious to see one in person at the AT&T store.
Actually it was the Bell store at Scotsdale Mall that had the dummy unit yesterday.
I went there again this morning. Rogers said they would have a dummy unit in tomorrow and would sell it either outright or on contract.
Telus didn't have it on display when I walked in, but brought one out when I asked. Looks very nice and well built with a metal edge around the screen. The Telus guy said he was quite impressed with it. He said that initially it will only be available on contract at $410 and that the full price was $899.
Good to know. The Scottsdale rogers wouldn't sell a passport off contract on launch day. Hopefully they didn't just say that to get you back in. On way to richmond now.

Sorry guys got to richmond and got a call from a friend and he hooked me up so my search is done. Best of luck to all!

just came back from the Rogers store in Willowbrook Mall and they received theirs about an hour ago, and they let me play with a demo for a few mins..
I really wanted one before - now it is a necessity!
I call a "dummy" phone one that has case but picture on display instead of actual phone. I call a "demo" phone that is functioning on the demo loop and sold at discount.
Is this not correct? I see people using dummy for demo and looks confusing.

I think the same way. to me a dummy phone is a non functioning display shell and a demo is a fully functioning phone
The one I tried was a brand new out of the box unit, the rep had to go in the back and get it and turn it on
Yes, I used a dummy non-working Priv, except for the slide-out keyboard at Bell.
At Telus I played with a working Priv demo unit fresh out the of the retail box.
Lougheed Mall TELUS sold out.

Bell in Metrotown( upper level had 2 yesterday, 1 for demo and 1 for Contract, was asking if they are willing to sell outright. Rep said not a chance. they did not even know it was launch day yesterday. Lol.
Metrotown TELUS also sold out...

Vancouver TELUS sold out.. must have had incredibly small inventory

Metrotown Bell store outside Superstore has demo unit. Also Telus store at Royal City Centre in New West has one too if you want to demo a live device.
I tried it out at the Bell store and it's nice but I need a bit more hands on as I have no clue about Android OS. Also the sales rep said his manager absolutely LOVES the new Priv so that's promising from a sales perspective.
Will pull the trigger and get one in the next month after some additional updates are pushed.

The Bell store outside Superstore at Metrotown only had two units and one was already sold on pre-order.

Oakridge TELUS has some but will not sell outright. Even to TELUS clients.

As of right now Bell in Metropolis has one in stock. They won't sell outright without attaching to a plan in their system.
