I am debating to get the priv or wait for the next android pkb BlackBerry. Now as the newly announced DTEK50, claims to be the most secured android phone. That raises the question: is priv less secure than DTEK50?

I think most reviewers claim that it's just marketing hype - the Priv is as secure as the DTEK50. I think they just needed a tagline to make the DTEK50 stand out!

Get it. The PRIV is an awesome phone. It's a head turning device and it has a great camera. The only issue with it is that it does heat up but that's mostly when I play games.

If then... I will believe it is coming when I see it, and I will believe the date when the device is actually available.

All Android powered BlackBerry phones are treated equal, they have the same security measures and they are packed with the same level of security no matter what.

As for the heating up PRIV, well that's the way the 808 performs..

Sure, and I'm not denying the security aspect. The heat is only when playing games or using Skype etc so it's not a problem per se. I like my priv ...but I'm somewhat curious as to what the next priv or flagship device from BlackBerry will be like.

I agree, however the camera app is slow both to launch and shoot the pic.
