Why is my camera so blurry within apps like IG? Snapchat? But when I take a pic w reg camera app, its sometimes ok sometimes choppy. It also lags a lot. 3s to capture a photo after pressing shutter

The priv is not the device to get a quick shot on! The camera lag improved with mm, but still lags from the time you touch snap until it actually snaps.

Is your app automatically applying an auto filter that might 'soften' the image? Does it do it to image files that may not have been generated by your priv?

I'm attaching a photo. If you open in photos app then in your camera app, does it look different?

Those are live camera images. I took screenshots in IG app and camera app. When I attach an image I took with camera on priv to IG, it looks fine. Its the picture I take with IG or snapchat that come out fuzzy

I've noticed this using skype. The camera is great, but using it via skype somehow the image becomes like a 1MP camera

Right. I think its like that in most apps that use camera. It was like that on Lollipop also. Anyone else with suggestions, possibly?

I've taken blurry pictures but over all the camera works well for me.

yes, the camera takes good pictures... i'm talking about the camera image quality within an app?
i.e. uploading to IG from a previously taken picture, its great.. but firing up IG, and taking the pic w/ the app, the image is horrible..

I don't know why it happens and I find it annoying too. Especially when you start recording a video on snapchat and it suddenly zooms in. Thankfully, you can avoid using Instagram's camera entirely. Even in Story mode, any pictures you take within 24 hours on your regular camera roll are available by swiping up on the new story screen. If you want to use something older, just copy/paste it so it shows up in the 24 hour window. You can avoid it on snapchat too, except for when you're using a filter. When you post a story from your camera roll (click Memories -> Camera Roll), it will put a white frame around the image and say "from camera roll at x time" at the top of the snap. Not ideal but it's something...
